Sharon C. Simon, age 73

November 1, 1949 – April 14, 2023

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Rockville, MN for Sharon C. Simon, age 73, who died Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by her family.  Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.

A visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. 

Sharon was born on November 1, 1949, in St. Cloud, MN to Floyd and Ellen (Shaw) Walberg.  She married Ray Simon on July 5, 1971, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Waite Park.  Sharon worked at Fingerhut and later St. Cloud Federal Credit Union.  She loved her family and spoiling her grandchildren.  Sharon enjoyed traveling, shopping, puzzles, and movies.

Survivors include her husband, Ray; children, Julie (Curtis) Yates, Brenda (Luke) Salzer, Keith (Amy); grandchildren, CJ, Colie (Shane), Madi (Tanner), Kenzie (Colten), Gavin, Kalei, Carter; siblings, Roy (JoAnn) Walberg, Linda Sheldon, Cliff (Sue) Walberg, and Wayne (Marie) Walberg. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Charles and Isabella Simon.

The family would like to thank the First Responders, Rockville Fire, and St. Cloud Hospital staff for the care given to Sharon.
