Success in life is not described by what you have or how ‘popular’ you are. Success in life is defined by how you have enriched the lives of all those around you. Being unselfish for others and truly making everyone else a priority sums up this loving, caring, hardworking, and often times stubborn hero. How often have all of you been touched by the realization that all Ed wanted for all of us was to cherish every accomplishment. Ed’s contagious smile (or smirk) and his ambition for the betterment of his family and friends was and will always will be nothing but memorable. Ed poured his heart and soul into making others become more victorious and we have all admired him for this. Ed was truly a mastermind at having a positive and infectious attitude and making everyone feel welcome. His love for his wife, sons, grandkids, and all of you has made him a true success in our hearts and one that will prove him successful in heaven. We will miss you Ed. Thank you for kindness and generosity that you have bestowed upon us all.

A gathering to celebrate Ed’s life will be held 4-8 PM Friday, December 17th at Wenner Funeral Home, 151 Oakwood Ave SE, Richmond, MN 56368. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Granite Community Bank, 202 2nd Ave S, Cold Spring, MN 56320, for Ed Babcock’s Memorial Track and Field Scholarship.
